In today's industrial landscape, as one of the key treatments of water intended for human consumption, the global water treatment chemicals market is experiencing sustained growth due to increasing demand for safe water. As the primary mega producer and consumer of chemicals for drinking water treatment, China has made significant progress in the water treatment chemicals industry. However, the entire industry still faces various challenges, like limited resources and capabilities for industrialization, inconsistent product quality, intense price competition, and the lack of stringent environmental regulations. To promote high-quality development within the water treatment chemicals industry, the Water Treatment Chemicals Branch of the China Inorganic Salts Industry Association was established by a group of industry and manufacturing elites. On October 20, 2024, the Water Treatment Chemicals Branch conference was held in Beijing, China. The conference attracted over 100 attendees from production and related equipment, environmental protection, and water management enterprises.
Xiaofeng Wang, the President of the China Inorganic Salt Industry Association, Li'an Hou, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Lan Zhang, the director of the China Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Xiaojian Zhang, the professor of the School of Environment of Tsinghua University, and other experts delivered successful speeches during the conference.

The president and vice president of the Water Treatment Chemicals Branch of China Inorganic Salts Industry Association were elected by the attendees. The president went to Chaohui He from Hengyang Jianheng Industry Development Co., Ltd, while 24 vice presidents were elected at the same time. Some of the representatives also participated in the follow-up meeting discussion of the pain points of the current Water Treatment Chemicals industry and suggestions for future optimization.
