Clean Water, Better Life

Clean Water, Better Life

Restoring Ecosystems through Water Stewardship

Water is essential to life; it flows through all plants, people, and wildlife. Thus water Is life. However, eutrophication has become one of the major environmental issues of global concern due to the adverse algal effects on water quality, public health, and ecosystem sustainability, especially in summer.  Some species of cyanobacteria will produce toxins and form a layer of blue-green and fishy odor floating foam on the water surface, called "Algal bloom". Large-scale cyanobacteria outbreaks, known as "green tide", about 50% of the green tide contains microcystin, which is toxic to fish, humans, and animals. It is also an important inducer of liver cancer. Green tides cause water quality to deteriorate and, in severe cases, deplete oxygen and kill fish.

Besides "Algal Bloom", there is a range of factors that affect water quality as follows:

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)

Hydrogen sulfide toxicity and nitrate contamination

Chlorine preparations, aldehydes, antibiotics, pesticides, herbicides and other secondary pollution residues

Heavy metals

Acid rain

The Methodology of Restoring Ecosystems through Water Stewardship

Exogenous Pollution Control

Endogenous Pollutant Removal

Biological Water Treatment

Ecosystem Restoration

(Ecological Regulation of Zooplankton, Benthos, Aquatic plants, Aquatic animals, etc.)

Oxsmart™ Calcium Peroxide facilitates to remove the oceanic or lacustrine red tides. For example,by adding 100mg~500mg of calcium peroxide per Liter of water, the occurrence of red tide can be eliminated in 24 hours.

Sodium Percarbonate, commonly known as solid hydrogen peroxide, is a classic chemical product, the industry as early as more than a hundred years ago began to produce. With the growth of social demand, especially the need for ecological environment protection, hydrogen peroxide has been more favored by people in recent years, and is called a "green oxidizer". Sodium percarbonate can effectively kill algae because blue-green algae are more susceptible than other aquatic organisms, as the chemical's active component, hydrogen peroxide, will have a minimal impact on the aquatic environment because it can decompose harmlessly into hydrogen and oxygen, within two days.

Hydrogen Peroxide has been proven effective in the concentrated killing of blue-green algae and has been widely used in Australia and the United States.
